Super visa is a type of tourist visa that is usually required for father, mother / grandfather, grandmother. The only difference between this type of visa and a regular tourist visa is that with this visa, if you enter Canada, you can stay for up to 2 years.

The necessary conditions for applying for a super visa are as follows:

1. Your child / grandchild is a permanent resident or Canadian citizen.

2. A valid invitation letter from the child / grandchild

3. Medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company with the following conditions:

  • Validity of insurance at least 1 year from the date of arrival in Canada
  • Insurance coverage up to $ 100,000
  • A valid letter from the medical insurance that shows the payment of insurance

4. Financial documents including:

  • Tax letter T1 / T4
  • Insurance
  • Employment letter (mentioning salary and date of employment)
  • Pay Slips (3 Months)
  • Bank Statement

Steps to apply for a Super Visa

Step 2: Biometrics

Step 3: Review the file at the Immigration Office

The time it takes to process a case varies depending on the country in which your father, mother / grandfather, or grandmother lives. This takes a maximum of 291 days.
